Welcome to the Hydrometeorological Multimedia Database developed by the COMET Program. For 15 years, the COMET Program has been creating educational and training material on the latest advances in weather forecasting.

We are making the graphics we created in these projects available to enhance media reuse and to enhance educational materials available to the meteorological community at large for educational and training purposes.

Successful database queries return thumbnail images of the media that satisfy the search criteria. Media are available for download in both PC zip and UNIX gzip formats. To download a given media item, click the preferred format under "Download". Available media types include static images, animations, video and audio clips.

We provide three interfaces to query the database.

• Simple Query provides a text field where the user enters a search string.
• Advanced Query provides a more complex interface with which the user can enter more information to narrow a query.
• Browse Query provides a different style of interface in which the user can search for media based on explicit values in the database.
